Industries: Discrete/Service

Dassian currently supports a number of clients in the Engineering Construction and Operations Industry.   Our client base in this market segment includes Engineering Service Providers as well as Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) companies. These clients receive and manage complex contracts for commercial customers as well as Services and Infrastructure Contracts in support of Federal, State and Local municipality clients.

Clients in this segment are primarily faced with challenges associated with performing non-recurring customer project work. This project work is governed by flexibly priced contracts based on actual job costs requiring highly complex job cost accounting systems. These contracts are large, unique and usually span multiple years and demand robust program controls and project management capability to assess project cost, schedule and technical performance throughout the contract execution period. Other requirements include supporting craft/union prevailing wage and total time labor costing executed at the employee timecard level. These projects also require capabilities to support global accounting revenue recognition standards for percentage of completion type methods including objective means to manage and monitor risks and variable consideration items.

The integrated Dassian Solution portfolio is organized and described by four major business solution pillars - all of which extend and industrialize the SAP ERP digital core platform. For Engineering Services and Engineering Procurement and Construction, the full range of the Dassian solution portfolio supports the market sector.

These four pillars provide solution capabilities to meet the above noted segment challenges through delivering the following capabilities:

  1. A robust Contract Management and billing solution permitting flexibility in achieving complex invoicing with automated management while allowing management of contract performance against funding with automated inception-to-date reporting, system controls and alerts. This pillar also includes a robust Material Accounting reporting and analytics capability to provide detailed historical parts costing of any level of the Bill of Material. Solution provides unique capabilities to monitor and track dynamic changes to project/contract manufacturing costs due to MRP driven schedule changes and resulting cost shifts due to MRP soft pegging and other changes. (Engineering Procurement & Construction EPC)
